There are three levels to start your EnglishConnect experience:

    EnglishConnect 1

    For beginning learners who are familiar with the English alphabet and can only say basic words or sentences.

    For mid-beginner learners who can form basic sentences but cannot hold a simple conversation.

    EnglishConnect 3

    For intermediate learners who can have natural conversations and can read and write basic sentences.

    EnglishConnect 1 & 2 are designed to help learners improve their English skills in an environment of fellowship and faith. The EnglishConnect conversation groups are facilitated by members and missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Conversation groups are held weekly online or
    at a local meetinghouse.

    EnglishConnect 3 is a 14-week, online course. Learners lead weekly conversation groups (online or in-person) and are supported by service missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. EnglishConnect 3 can prepare learners for employment and academic opportunities - especially BYU-Pathway Worldwide.

    You can join EnglishConnect 3 if you achieve an intermediate-low score on the placement assessment.
