War, natural disasters, and other circumstances leave many displaced in new countries. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints saw the needs of these people and partnered with other charitable organizations to start friendship centers.
Friendship centers help refugees, asylum seekers, and others learn empowerment skills, life and job training skills, and English through EnglishConnect. They also offer emotional and legal counseling.
