    Updated EnglishConnect Materials Now Available

    New Update Announcement

    Updated digital versions of EnglishConnect materials are now available in multiple languages on the Gospel Library app and ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

    These updates include improvements to the curriculum to better support learners as well as simplified resources for teachers and leaders.

    The new materials will be translated into more than 40 languages and new language versions will be made available throughout 2024 and into 2025. You may check out the latest status updates at the bottom of this page.

    The updated Learner Manuals help learners prepare for and participate in their conversation group.

    English versions of the updated Learner Manuals and Workbooks are now available in the Gospel Library, or downloadable PDFs are available at englishconnect.org/resources/teacher-and-leader.

    Teacher Manual

    The updated Teacher Manual provides simplified instruction to help teachers lead a conversation group. All activity instructions are included in the updated Learner Manuals, so teachers can use one Teacher Manual for both levels.

    The English version of the updated digital Teacher Manual is now available in the Gospel Library, or downloadable PDFs are available at englishconnect.org/resources/teacher-and-leader.

    Implementation Guide

    Leaders and teachers can begin using the updated Implementation Guide now. This guide can support the transition to the updated materials.

    The English version of the updated digital Implementation Guide is now available in the Gospel Library.

    Workbooks

    In addition to updated digital Learner Manuals, learners have access to a Workbook for each level. The new Workbooks provide learners with additional daily practice activities for listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

    Printed versions of the Workbooks are available in multiple languages in the Church Store, or learners can download the digital PDF versions at englishconnect.org/learner-resources.

    Common Questions

    How do I transition to the updated materials?
    Current EnglishConnect groups can choose to continue using the previous versions of EnglishConnect materials until their group concludes, or substitute their learner and teacher manuals with the updated English digital manuals. Learners can begin using the Workbooks now.

    Lesson topics remain the same in the updated materials. Groups can easily transition to the updated materials at any point in the course.

    Note: When moving to the updated manuals, groups should complete the introductory lesson in the updated EnglishConnect Learner Manual. The introductory lesson will help learners understand the new approach. After completing the introductory lesson, you can continue with the lesson number from the previous group session.
    When will the updated digital materials be available in my language?
    The updated materials are being translated into more than 40 additional languages and will become available throughout 2024 and 2025.

    Please be sure to register your conversation group in QuickReg to receive notifications of new language versions once they become available.
    When can I order printed versions of the updated Learner Manuals?
    Printed copies of the updated Learner Manuals will be available in English through the Church Store starting in May 2024. PDF versions will also be available to download at englishconnect.org/resources/teacher-and-leader.

    Additional languages will be released throughout 2024 and 2025.
